Every place in both programs, drawn from the screens the game showed on one play-through, and the ways between them.

01 · Part 1

The magic trees, the woodcutter's house and the Giant's garden

Part 1 is two searches. Without a password the kingdom leads to the cave, the raven and the woodcutter's house, where Esther is hidden. With her password, snow, it leads to the toadstool and across the Giant's garden to Tom.

02 · Part 2

The City of the Dragons

With Tom's password, sky, Part 2 starts in the kingdom again, and the raven takes the player to the city, where Clare is held in the baby dragons' cave and Anna is found at the gates.

03 · The Land of Mystery

The Land of Mystery, on the game's own map

With Clare and Anna's password, river, the raven brings the player to the Land of Mystery. This is the map the game draws before every journey, with the red cross where the player starts, and each of its five places can be chosen from it.

The map, as the page draws it from the 1,000 bytes jsbeeb showed on arriving. Choose a place on it, or from the buttons.

A journey is chosen by where the player is and where they go. The game adds the two places' numbers, forest 1, cottage 2, lake 3, castle 4 and hill 5, and the sum decides what happens on the road, so two different roads with the same sum behave alike (every road is known by the sum of its two ends).

RoadSumOn the road
the forest and the cottage1 + 2 = 3nothing
the forest and the lake1 + 3 = 4the dwarf, who wants a stone from the hill
the forest and the castle1 + 4 = 5That was not a good idea. and the Witch
the forest and the hill1 + 5 = 6You cannot go straight there.
the cottage and the lake2 + 3 = 5That was not a good idea. and the Witch
the cottage and the castle2 + 4 = 6You cannot go straight there.
the cottage and the hill2 + 5 = 7nothing
the lake and the castle3 + 4 = 7nothing
the lake and the hill3 + 5 = 8the troll, who asks what trees grow in the forest
the castle and the hill4 + 5 = 9the beast, who asks his brother's name

Choose a road where something happens to see its screen above. A screen seen on one road of a pair stands for both.
